Just thought i'd check in to see how people went with the Ballroom Competitions in Bath? Were there many people from cardiff who entered? Any one win any category? What categories were there?

We had 15 couples, entered from beginner to intermediate

we had 2 beginner couples making finals in latin. 1 novice couple got to a final in latin.

for the team event 2 couples from the A team got through to the finals.

overall everyone had a really good time, but were all disappointed that there wasnt time for the all male rumba!!

Im comming over to the USA to visit my brother a permanent resident

with me. I would like to know if in Flodida there are any ballroom dancing
studios that have social evenings we could attend, or nearby dance events
to watch competitions. The lad has been learning 4 years not, I competed
30 years ago in what was then the amateur bracket in Australia top level
at the time. The brother lives in Jupiter, Florida.

I dont know the area myself Im maybe a thousand miles further north,
but heres a useful reference:

Pay attention to both the miami and east coast pages -- Jupiter,
Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach show up on the latter, while the former
is a rich dance venue not all that far away.

I hope that helps
